「And this thing we're willing away/from the open posts of our goal/is neither a bomb nor a baby/but sweet FA/only a bloody ball.」
Football in Sun and Shadow,日與影共行,我在酒館中看得大樂。不知是耶非耶,Galeano這樣說及英倫足球的身世悠悠:「After centuries of official denial, Britain finally accepted the ball in its destiny. Under Queen Victoria soccer was embraced not only as a plebeian vice but as an aristocratic virtues.」
Victoria
