Such insulting and menacing remarks are unacceptable.
二、Service delays on the Kwun Tong MTR line reached an unacceptable level.
三、The judge found it unacceptable that a nurse should be required to work on Saturdays while serving as a juror.
另一個近義詞是intolerable(不可容忍的)。
四、The heat is intolerable.(如果說unaccept able,即認為天氣應該可以不那麼熱。)
The whole team suffered for the intolerable stupidity of one member.(如果說unacceptable stupidity,即認為該人其實是可以不那麼愚蠢的。)
四a、The heat is unbearable.
She found the loneliness unbearable/un endurable/insufferable.
七、She was embarrassed by her brother's un bearable/unendurable/insufferable vulgarity.
八、The thought that he may have been betr ayed was unbearable/unendurable/ insufferable.
