His comments were deeply offensive to single mothers.(他的評論冒犯了單身母親。)
二、The programme contains language which some viewers may find offensive.(節目裏有些說話可能令某些觀眾覺得反感。)
She made some very rude comments about my driving.(她毫不客氣地批評我的駕駛表現。)
He taunted us in the most vulgar and indecent language.(他用最粗鄙下流的說話辱罵我們。)
He has a foul mouth
He got drunk and became abusive.(他喝醉了便用髒話罵人。)
Mysticism" is often used as a derogatory term to describe obscure, fuzzy thinking.(人們常把模糊曖昧的思想貶稱為「神秘主義」。)
七、He refused to withdraw derogatory remarks made about his boss.(他不肯收回他詆毀上司的話。)
Rather than behave like a responsible adult, the woman spoke in a pejorative tone to the small child.(那女人用輕蔑的口吻對小孩說話,那不是一個負責任的成年人的行為。)
I am using the word "academic" here in a pejorative / derogatory sense.(我這裏說「學術」,是帶貶義的。)
十、Even though I had a good explanation for my being late, my employer still described my conduct in a pejorative / derogatory way.(儘管我的遲到有很好的解釋,僱主仍把我的行為說得很差。)
